Every celebration tells a different story, but Ali and Safa's wedding brought together something we truly love: different cultures, genuine emotions, and the unmistakable atmosphere of an Italian destination wedding.
Set in the hills overlooking Assisi, Castello di Petrata provided a beautiful setting for a celebration where Iraqi heritage met the timeless elegance of the Umbrian countryside.

Ali and Safa's Iraqi wedding was another reminder that beautiful wedding photography isn't just about spectacular locations or elegant details. It's about the people, their connections, and the emotions that make a celebration unforgettable.
Our approach has always been to observe rather than direct, allowing the atmosphere to unfold naturally while capturing the moments that truly matter.
Castello di Petrata: A Wedding Venue We Know by Heart
For us, this feature is particularly meaningful because Castello di Petrata is much more than a beautiful wedding venue.
We have photographed almost 100 weddings here since 2013, and over the years it has become something of a second home.
Located just outside Assisi, Castello di Petrata combines the character of a historic Umbrian estate with extraordinary views, beautiful gardens, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it ideal for international destination weddings.
We know how the light moves across its gardens, where to find the most beautiful perspectives of Assisi, and how to use its architecture and surrounding landscape to create elegant, natural photographs.
Yet even after so many weddings, every celebration here feels different. That's the beauty of documentary wedding photography: the location may be familiar, but the people and their stories are always unique.

Being featured on Wezoree, an international wedding platform dedicated to inspiring couples and showcasing wedding professionals, is a lovely opportunity to share Ali and Safa's story with a wider audience.
As photographers born and raised in Umbria, we are particularly happy when weddings photographed in our home region reach couples around the world.
Over more than two decades, we have photographed over 1,000 weddings in Italy and internationally, but Umbria continues to hold a special place in our hearts.
