When a Wedding Becomes a Creative Collaboration
Some weddings are particularly special because of the connection we establish with the couple long before the actual celebration. Lindsey and Lewis's wedding at Tenuta Corbinaia, near Florence, was definitely one of those.
We're delighted that this beautiful Tuscan wedding has been featured in Wezoree Magazine, sharing a story that combines timeless Italian elegance, a wonderful location and a photographic experience that we genuinely loved creating.
Our journey with Lindsey and Lewis started with two video calls. Rather than simply discussing the schedule and practical details, we spent time talking about their vision, the atmosphere they wanted in their photographs and the kind of images they imagined looking back on years later.
They had a clear idea of what they loved: elegant, romantic portraits with a strong editorial feeling, but without losing the spontaneity and authenticity of their wedding day.
We immediately felt that we were speaking the same creative language.
Planning the Photography Around the Tuscan Light
One thing became clear during our conversations: Lindsey and Lewis wanted to dedicate a generous amount of time to their couple portraits.
This is something we don't necessarily recommend to every couple. Our usual approach is to keep portrait sessions relatively short, allowing people to enjoy their wedding without feeling that they are spending the entire day in front of a camera.
But every wedding is different, and we loved their enthusiasm for photography.
Rather than scheduling one long portrait session, we suggested splitting the photography into several shorter moments throughout the day.
There was a very specific reason behind this decision: the light in Tuscany changes dramatically from morning to sunset, and each moment offers completely different creative possibilities.
During the hottest hours, when the summer sun is high and the outdoor light becomes particularly intense, we planned to work inside the villa. The interiors offered beautiful architectural elements, softer light and an opportunity to create more intimate, editorial images.
Later in the afternoon, we could move outside for portraits with the bridal party, taking advantage of the more pleasant temperatures and the changing light.
Finally, we reserved the sunset for the most romantic photographs, when the Tuscan countryside transforms into a landscape of warm colours, long shadows and soft golden light.
This approach gave us the opportunity to create several different photographic moods without making the experience feel like one continuous photoshoot.
And most importantly, Lindsey and Lewis could enjoy their wedding and spend meaningful time with their guests between sessions.

Tenuta Corbinaia: A Wedding Venue Where Creativity Has No Limits
As wedding photographers who have worked throughout Tuscany for many years, we know how important it is to understand the relationship between a location, its architecture and the natural light.
Tenuta Corbinaia is one of those wedding venues where photographic opportunities seem almost endless.
The estate offers an extraordinary variety of settings: elegant interiors, beautiful terraces, vineyards, open views across the Tuscan hills and a magnificent tree-lined driveway.
Every corner has a different personality, and every change in light creates new possibilities.
For us, this is what makes a wedding venue truly exciting from a photographic perspective. It's not simply about finding beautiful backgrounds, but about understanding how to use them creatively.
We could move from sophisticated indoor portraits to relaxed, spontaneous photographs in the gardens, from architectural compositions to romantic images surrounded by the landscape.
At Tenuta Corbinaia, the only real limit was our imagination.
We also loved the fact that Lindsey and Lewis were completely open to experimenting with different ideas. They trusted our vision, brought their own suggestions and were happy to explore the venue with us.
That creative freedom made a huge difference.
The Most Iconic Photograph: A Bride Standing on the Dinner Tables
And then came one of those moments that we will definitely remember.
During the celebration, Lindsey decided to climb onto the dinner tables and pose standing above the beautifully arranged reception setting.
It was bold, unexpected and absolutely fantastic.
From a photographic perspective, it was exactly the kind of opportunity that can turn a beautiful wedding photograph into something truly distinctive.
The elegant tablescape, the atmosphere of the reception and Lindsey's confidence created a scene with a strong fashion-editorial feeling.
We loved the contrast between the refined wedding styling and the playful, unconventional attitude of the bride.
It was also a perfect example of something we strongly believe: editorial wedding photography doesn't always need to be carefully staged or excessively directed.
Sometimes the most memorable images happen when a couple feels completely comfortable expressing their personality.
Our job is to recognise those opportunities and transform them into photographs that are visually powerful without losing their authenticity.
That image perfectly captured Lindsey's personality and the creative spirit of the entire wedding.
A Love Story That Was Always Meant to Lead to Tuscany
One of the loveliest details about Lindsey and Lewis's story is how they chose their wedding destination.
After Lewis proposed in Santorini, they each wrote down their dream wedding location separately, without knowing what the other had chosen.
Both wrote the same word: Tuscany.
It's a beautiful coincidence, and one that we can easily understand.
The couple had been together for ten years by the time they celebrated their wedding on June 18, 2026, surrounded by 49 of their closest family members and friends.
Their vision was an elegant Italian wedding with beautiful views, a relaxed atmosphere and a celebration that felt genuinely personal.
Tenuta Corbinaia offered exactly what they were looking for.
The ceremony took place on the Belvedere Terrace, overlooking the rolling Tuscan countryside. The couple exchanged handwritten vows in a ceremony filled with laughter, tears and emotional moments.
The styling was equally beautiful, with a delicate palette of white, champagne and soft green that complemented the natural colours of the estate.
Lindsey wore a stunning Jane Hill gown, while Lewis chose a custom-made suit by Edit Suits Co.
Everything felt sophisticated without being overly formal, which is precisely the atmosphere we love photographing.
An Intimate Tuscan Wedding Full of Personal Details
Beyond the portraits and the beautiful scenery, there were many small details that made this wedding particularly meaningful.
Lindsey and Lewis had prepared handwritten notes for each of their guests, leaving a personal message at every place setting.
It's the kind of gesture that says so much about a couple and their relationship with the people around them.
Another wonderful detail was their wedding cake: ten tiers, each representing one of the ten years they had spent together.
The entire celebration was beautifully coordinated by Sara of Solevents Wedding, whose work helped create a relaxed experience for everyone involved.
For us as documentary wedding photographers, this kind of atmosphere is incredibly valuable.
When a wedding flows naturally, people relax, emotions become more spontaneous and the photographs reflect the genuine spirit of the celebration.
And while we had carefully planned the portrait sessions, we spent the rest of the day doing what we love most: observing, anticipating and capturing real moments as they happened.
From Tenuta Corbinaia to Wezoree Magazine
Seeing Lindsey and Lewis's wedding published in Wezoree Magazine is particularly rewarding because it represents the kind of photographic experience we love sharing with our couples.
It was a wedding where planning and spontaneity worked beautifully together.
We had discussed the creative direction in advance, studied how to make the most of the different light conditions and organised the portrait sessions around the natural rhythm of the day.
But we also left plenty of space for unexpected moments, genuine emotions and a little creative madness.
The result is a collection of photographs that moves between documentary storytelling and editorial portraiture, reflecting both the elegance of Tenuta Corbinaia and the personalities of Lindsey and Lewis.
After photographing more than 1,000 weddings, we still find it exciting when a couple gives us the freedom to explore new ideas.
Thank you, Lindsey and Lewis, for trusting our vision and for making us part of such a beautiful celebration. And thank you to Wezoree Magazine for featuring this special Tuscan wedding.
