There are places that feel like a second home, and for us Castello di Petrata is exactly that. Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to photograph nearly a hundred weddings here, learning every corner, every light shift, every hidden angle that makes this venue so special. And yet, every time we return, it manages to surprise us.

April is when Petrata truly shows off. The gardens come alive with color, the wisteria drapes everything in soft purples, and the afternoons carry that perfect spring warmth—never too much, just enough to slow things down and let moments breathe. It’s the kind of atmosphere that doesn’t just frame a wedding, it shapes it.

Ali & Safa wedding was a celebration in the purest sense: rich in tradition, vibrant in energy, and deeply shared with everyone present. From the very beginning, there was this beautiful sense of togetherness: guests weren’t just watching, they were part of the rhythm of the day. Music, laughter, spontaneous dances, everything flowed naturally, building a kind of joyful chaos that, from a photographer’s perspective, is pure gold.

What made it especially inspiring for us was the constant shift in mood. One moment you had quiet, intimate exchanges, glances, small gestures, soft light filtering through the garden. The next, everything opened up into something bigger: colors, movement, hands in the air, people fully immersed in the celebration thanks to the amazing energy of Zaffa Zaffe group, It moved effortlessly from elegance to energy, from stillness to motion.

And that’s exactly what we tried to capture. Not just how the day looked, but how it felt. The blend of traditions, the warmth of the people, the way every element, light, color, emotion, came together without ever feeling staged.
