QUERCIA AL POGGIO  wedding photographer in TUSCANY

timeless wedding photography in Tuscany

As Tuscany wedding photographers, Quercia al Poggio is one of our favorite venues in the Chianti region. Perched on top of a hill and surrounded by vineyards in every direction, it offers some of the most authentic and breathtaking Tuscan scenery we have found.

One of the things we loved most about this wedding was how many different settings Quercia al Poggio offered throughout the day. From the spacious rooms where the couple got ready, to an intimate first look in the charming village streets, vineyard portraits at golden hour, and even some fun groomsmen photos on the tennis court, every part of the celebration had its own distinct atmosphere.

The variety of locations within a single venue made this one of the most visually diverse weddings we've ever photographed. Moving from one corner of the estate to another felt like discovering an entirely new backdrop each time, allowing us to create a gallery that truly captures the richness and character of this incredible Tuscan venue.

The elevated position of the winery provides incredible light throughout the day and unforgettable sunset views, making it a dream venue for both weddings and photography. For couples looking for a genuine Tuscan experience, Quercia al Poggio perfectly combines natural beauty, privacy, and the timeless charm that makes Chianti so special.

Most couples book 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for weddings between May and October. Popular weekends in Tuscany tend to fill quickly for destination weddings.

Wine is one of the reasons Tuscany is celebrated around the world, but here it is much more than what is poured into a glass. It is woven into the region's culture, shapes its landscapes, and defines its way of life. The vineyards that cover the rolling hills are not just beautiful scenery—they tell the story of generations of families and traditions.

In Tuscany, wine is also about connection. It brings people together around a table, encourages conversation, and turns simple gatherings into meaningful moments shared with family and friends.

— WHAT MAKES QUERCIA AL POGGIO AN IDEAL WEDDING VENUE?

One of the things we loved most about Quercia al Poggio is how much inspiration it offers from a photographer's perspective. Every corner of the property feels unique, from the charming spaces around the buildings to the vineyards that surround the estate in every direction. As the sun moves across the sky, the light constantly transforms the atmosphere, creating new moods, colors, and opportunities throughout the day.

It's also a venue that works beautifully for guests. There are so many different areas where people can gather, relax, and share meaningful moments together, yet everything remains conveniently connected. The property feels spacious and varied without ever requiring long walks, allowing the celebration to flow naturally while giving everyone the freedom to experience the venue in their own way.

— IS QUERCIA AL POGGIO IDEAL WEDDING VENUE FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

Absolutely. What we loved most about this wedding was the incredible variety of landscapes and settings available throughout the day. We made the most of the vineyard views at sunset, photographed the symbolic ceremony beneath the shade of the trees, and wandered through the charming corners of the village, where countless little moments unfolded naturally and helped tell the story of the day.

One of the highlights was stopping on a breathtaking hilltop on our way back from Certaldo. Surrounded by the iconic Tuscan landscape, with rolling hills, dramatic balze, and elegant cypress trees stretching across the horizon, it felt like stepping into a painting. The scenery was simply spectacular and provided the perfect setting for an intimate and unforgettable couple's photoshoot.
