Castello di Ristonchi wedding photographer

destination wedding in Tuscany

Castel Ristonchi is one of those wedding venues that immediately makes you feel far away from everything, even though it is surprisingly close to Florence. Perched high on a hill in the Tuscan countryside, the castle overlooks endless rolling landscapes and creates a sense of peace and isolation that feels almost unreal. Once you arrive, it truly feels like stepping onto another planet.

One of the things we loved most while photographing weddings there was the atmosphere throughout the entire day. The venue feels private, relaxed and deeply immersive, where the only sounds in the distance are the laughter of guests enjoying the pool, music softly playing and the energy of people fully living the experience together.

The location chosen for the outdoor dinner was simply breathtaking. As the sun slowly disappeared behind the valley, the view remained completely open and unobstructed, creating one of the most incredible dinner settings imaginable for a destination wedding in Tuscany.

The warm light, the Tuscan architecture and the natural landscape all blended together perfectly, creating an atmosphere that felt elegant yet effortless at the same time.

We especially loved how the venue constantly shifted between refined Italian countryside vibes and something unexpectedly modern and stylish. One of the most memorable details was the iconic red dance floor: small, intimate and full of personality. Once the party started, it almost felt like being inside a hidden club somewhere in London rather than in the middle of the Tuscan hills. That contrast between historic beauty, relaxed luxury and vibrant energy is what makes Castel Ristonchi such a unique place for a wedding celebration in Italy.
