Summer wedding at Castello di Ristonchi
Alex and Tamara’s Castello di Ristonchi was one of those days that felt good from the very first moment. Even during the getting ready, the atmosphere was already full of smiles, inside jokes, and that easy kind of happiness that comes from being surrounded by your favorite people.
From the start, they told us what they cared about most:
“Please capture our friendships and our family. The real moments.”
And that became the heart of the whole day.
Castello di Ristonchi, with its view across the Tuscan valley, made everything even more special. The temperature was perfect—warm enough for an al fresco dinner, soft enough to make everyone relax. And the sunset… honestly, it felt like the sky was putting on a show just for them. Golden light, long shadows, a calm breeze. Pure magic.
Before dinner, the courtyard exploded into long traditional dances. Everyone joined in—laughing, spinning, clapping, completely lost in the moment. We could barely keep up with the amount of joy happening all at once. Our cameras were working nonstop, and still, it felt like we could have kept shooting forever.
There’s something about this venue that makes people open up. Maybe it’s the view, maybe it’s the quiet, maybe it’s the history in those castle walls. Whatever it is, it created the perfect backdrop for a day that was all about connection.
Alex and Tamara’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful—it was warm, relaxed, and full of genuine moments that we’ll remember for a long time. Nights like this remind us why we love what we do.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT SHOOTING DESTINATION WEDDINGS IN TUSCANY
Why Castello di Ristonchi is a perfect fit for out photography style?
As a wedding photographer in Florence and Tuscany, we’ve learned to chase that light the way some people chase a melody — patiently, instinctively, knowing it will reward you if you pay attention.
Over time, our photography has shaped itself around that golden hour glow. It’s not just pretty light; it’s a mood, a rhythm. When the sun dips low across the Siena hills, everything becomes a little more romantic and a little more alive. Skin warms, shadows stretch, fabrics move with a gentler curve. Couples forget about poses and simply fall into each other. That’s where the magic begins.
We use this Tuscan light almost like a silent collaborator. It pulls movement into the frame, adds softness where needed, and gives energy when a moment feels too still. Instead of staging scenes, we let the light guide the story. The result is more dynamic, more textured, and full of those candid sparks that happen when people are truly themselves.
There’s an honesty that comes out in that final hour of the day — laughter unplanned, glances that say more than words, little gestures that would be invisible in harsher light. The golden sun doesn’t just illuminate; it reveals. And that’s exactly what we aim for: photographs that feel warm, intimate, and spontaneous, not because we asked for it, but because the atmosphere brought it out naturally.
In the end, this is why shooting in Tuscany feels so special. The light at Castello di Ristonchi doesn’t just help us create beautiful images; it shapes the entire experience. It turns a simple moment into something tender and cinematic, and it allows us to tell a story that feels as authentic as the people in front of the camera.

what does TIMELESS photography mean in terms of wedding photography?
Timeless means NATURAL, untouched by trends, true to color and deeply authentic. It feels effortless, never stiff, warm and candid yet refined and beautifully composed
Natural wedding photography is a choice for all those couples with a clear aesthetic vision who want to look stunning, but don’t want to spend time and energy on the photoshoot. It combines a documentary approach, capturing real moments without interruption of staging, with an editorial touch, where the photographer gives occasional direction but mostly fades into the background, allowing every moment to unfold naturally and spontaneously

Our answer is that your photos need to be timeless, the colors and contrasts and the general look must It must withstand the passage of time. Your photos must look beautiful today and also in 20 years. This is why we avoid temporary trends like out of focus and blurred images. In 20 years you want a proper photo of your shoes and not a blurred photo because they will no longer be only photos but precious memories. As Siena wedding photographer we are expert at using the golden tuscan with our romantic touch but also the medieval architecture with a more documentary approach. Villa Catignano Italy wedding venue is a perfect fit for our signature style
How Much does a wedding at Castello di Ristonchi cost?
In order to help our couples planning their wedding at Villa Catignano Italy we gathered some informations about the base costs for renting the venue:
Although we don’t have updated prices available, our couples have spent between €60,000 and €80,000 for three-day events. This included accommodation and food for all their guests. We invite you to check the most up-to-date prices directly with the venue.
How Much does a wedding planner in Tuscany cost?
In our experience if you plan to get married at Borgo Stomennano you will need a wedding planner or at least a wedding day coordinator. Here are very common costs here in Tuscany:
A full-service wedding planner for a typical wedding often costs between €3,000 and €10,000.
For simpler or smaller-budget weddings (or when you want only partial support), planners may charge less: something in the range of €1,500–€3,000
A “day-of” coordinator (i.e. someone to handle only the wedding day logistics, not the full planning in advance) often costs roughly €800–€2,000.
Especially for destination or multi-day weddings the cost might go up to €4,500+, especially if travel, logistics or extra work are involved
Full-Service Wedding Planner
When you hire a planner to manage everything from the start, they usually handle:
Venue scouting and selection (especially useful if you don’t know the region well)
Vendor research and booking (caterers, photographers, musicians, florists, etc.)
Budget planning and allocation — helping you stay within budget, negotiate with vendors, avoid hidden costs.
Logistical planning: timelines, transportation, guest accommodation (if multi-day), coordination between vendors, legal and administrative tasks (if applicable).
Design, styling and overall “look & feel”: décor, flowers, tables, coordination of aesthetics, often important for a destination wedding in Tuscany.
On-the-day supervision (but not only that — also the days/weeks preceding, final checks, managing vendors, etc.)
Day Of Coordinator
If you and the couple already have most things arranged (venue, vendors, basic planning), but you want someone to ensure the day itself runs smoothly, a coordinator will typically:
Confirm bookings and logistics with all vendors shortly before the big day
Manage timing and flow of the day (ceremony schedule, meal service, transitions, vendor arrivals, “plan B” if something goes wrong)
Be the central point of contact on the wedding day — so the couple (and you, as photographer) don’t have to worry about coordinating furniture, flowers, catering, guests, etc.
Offer last-minute crisis management (if something gets delayed or changes)
How Much does a food caterers cost in Tuscany?
Costs may vary a lot but generally they include the post-ceremony aperitif with Prosecco, one cocktail, soft drinks, light canapés, and usually a few buffet stations such as cured meats and cheeses. A three-course dinner with table wine is also part of the standard package. Some caterers even include a traditional Italian wedding cake in the price.
However, certain caterers charge extra for the aperitif buffets and the wedding cake
The base price generally covers essential furniture for the aperitif dinner tables, a selection of chairs, and a basic mise en place setup, including charger plates, tableware, glassware, and linens.
Guest count also plays a significant role in the final cost. Standard catering rates are calculated on 100 guests, so the price per person tends to increase when hosting fewer people.
Open-bar packages are always priced separately, as well as any additional beverages you may want beyond what the caterer includes in the standard menu.
Typical catering cost per person
Many caterers in Tuscany quote about €100–€150 per guest for a “standard” wedding meal (multi-course, with wine or basic drinks, maybe cake)
A more “upscale” wedding, better ingredients, more courses or drinks, maybe open bar, tends to fall in the €180–€250 per guest range.
Some venues / caterers quote even higher, up to €300 per guest
What influences the cost :
Menu complexity (antipasti, multiple courses, seafood or meat choice, vegetarian options, dessert, cake) — simple buffet vs full sit-down meal.
Drinks and open bar (basic wine/water vs full open-bar or premium wines/spirits).
Number of guests — larger guest list can lower per-person cost by economies of scale, but small weddings may cost more per head.
Extras and service level: staff, table setup, rentals (chairs, linen, tableware), service duration, possibly late-night snack or extra courses.
Venue type & location: fancy villas or castles in popular areas often mean higher catering minimums or expectations.
