Umbria Wedding Photographer – Authentic Stories, Timeless Elegance & the Place We Call Home

A Place We Know by Heart: Umbria's Ancient Castles, Golden Light & Authentic Wedding Stories

Umbria is not simply another destination where we photograph weddings. It's our home. It's where we grew up, where our story began, and where we learned to see the world through a camera.

We are Maurizio and Serena, the married photography duo behind Rellini Art Studio. Based in the area between Assisi and Perugia, very close to Assisi, we have spent more than two decades photographing weddings across Umbria, from its magnificent medieval castles to its intimate countryside villas and historic villages.

We know this region in a way that goes far beyond wedding photography. We know its hidden roads, its changing seasons, the warm light falling over the hills in September, the quiet beauty of its olive groves, and the atmosphere of its ancient stone villages. We know where the sun disappears behind the mountains, which gardens offer the most beautiful light, and how dramatically the landscape can change from one valley to another.

And perhaps most importantly, we know the people, the traditions, and the authentic Italian spirit that make this place so special.

Unlike Tuscany, whose landscapes have become internationally recognizable, Umbria offers a quieter, more intimate interpretation of Italian elegance. Here, luxury feels less ostentatious, the countryside remains wonderfully authentic, and historic castles and private estates create an extraordinary atmosphere for destination weddings.

For us, being an Umbria wedding photographer means more than knowing where to take beautiful pictures. It means understanding the character of a place we have called home all our lives, and using that knowledge to create photographs that feel natural, personal, and deeply connected to the region.

Our Favorite Wedding Venues in Umbria: Places We Know Like Home

One of the greatest advantages of choosing us as your Umbria wedding photographers is our experience at the region's most beautiful wedding venues. Some of these places have been part of our lives for almost twenty years, and we have photographed so many celebrations there that they genuinely feel like second homes.

Castello di Petrata, overlooking Assisi, is probably the most meaningful example. We have photographed nearly 100 weddings here since 2013, watching the venue evolve through the seasons and becoming familiar with practically every corner of the property. We love its gardens, the extraordinary views of Assisi, the warm countryside light, and the magical atmosphere of outdoor dinners beneath the fairy lights. During the summer, we sometimes joke that we practically live there.

Castello di Rosciano, near Perugia and Torgiano, holds an equally special place in our story. We photographed our first international destination wedding there in 2006 and have since returned for around 70 celebrations. We know its medieval architecture, its panoramic terraces, and the beautiful evening atmosphere when guests gather for dinner overlooking the Umbrian countryside.

Other venues we particularly love include Castello di Montignano, with its extraordinary rooftop views and intimate countryside atmosphere; Borgo Colognola, a charming historic hamlet near Perugia where we have photographed weddings for many years; and La Torre di Pila, an elegant estate that perfectly complements our natural, editorial photography style.

Our experience also extends to Monastero Santa Margherita in Todi, Niki's Resort, Borgo Bastia Creti, Castello di Solfagnano, Villa Pianciani, Abbazia San Pietro in Valle, Borgo Castello Panicaglia, and Castello di Titignano, along with many other private villas, historic castles, and countryside estates throughout the region.

From Assisi and Perugia to Todi, Spoleto, Orvieto, and Lake Trasimeno, we love how every corner of Umbria offers a different interpretation of authentic Italian beauty.

For us, knowing these venues means much more than identifying the best locations for portraits. We understand how the sunlight moves across the gardens, which areas become beautifully shaded during summer afternoons, where guests naturally gather for aperitivo, and how to make the most of each venue without interrupting the wedding.

Documentary & Editorial Wedding Photography in Umbria

Our photographic style has been deeply influenced by the landscape and atmosphere of the region where we grew up.

We love the warm colors of Umbrian stone, the deep greens of its olive groves, the soft light of the countryside, and the beautiful imperfections of ancient villages. These elements naturally shape our compositions, but we never want the setting to become more important than the people.

Our approach combines documentary wedding photography with a refined editorial aesthetic. We capture genuine emotions, spontaneous interactions, and the unexpected moments that make every celebration unique, while paying particular attention to light, composition, and timeless elegance.

We believe couples should spend their wedding day enjoying their friends, families, and the Italian experience rather than following a photographer's instructions.

A short portrait session at sunset, a spontaneous moment during aperitivo, or the energy of a lively dinner beneath the stars is often all we need to create photographs that feel sophisticated without ever looking staged.

Film Wedding Photography in Umbria – The Timeless Beauty of Analog

Film photography has always been part of our journey. We photographed our first weddings on film, long before digital cameras became the standard, and we still love the distinctive character of analog photography.

Today, we offer film wedding photography in Umbria, combining our digital documentary coverage with the timeless beauty of 35mm and medium-format 6x6 film.

We particularly love shooting black-and-white film, with its beautiful grain, rich tonal transitions, and classic aesthetic. Color film is also available for couples who appreciate the nostalgic atmosphere of analog photography.

Umbria provides a wonderful setting for film. The textures of medieval stone, the soft countryside light, the intimate atmosphere of historic villas, and the elegant architecture of its castles all work beautifully with the analog medium.

For couples who want something truly special, we also offer traditional darkroom fine art prints, creating physical photographs that can become family heirlooms.

Film photography can be added to our digital wedding collections, allowing couples to enjoy two complementary interpretations of their wedding: contemporary documentary storytelling and classic analog imagery.

Wedding Content Creator in Umbria – Authentic Moments Delivered Within 24 Hours

Alongside our wedding photography services, we also offer a dedicated wedding content creator service in Umbria, designed for couples who want to relive and share their celebration almost immediately.

Our content creator, Aigulya, works closely with us and shares our approach to natural, spontaneous storytelling.

While we focus on creating timeless photographs, she captures the behind-the-scenes atmosphere of the wedding through mobile video, candid clips, and short-form content.

From the excitement of getting ready to the ceremony, the laughter during aperitivo, and the energy of the party, the content creator service offers a more immediate, informal perspective on the celebration.

Our service includes professionally edited social media reels, longer videos, and the original clips, with content delivered within approximately 24 hours.

We particularly love this combination for multi-day destination weddings in Umbria, where welcome parties, pool gatherings, wine tastings, and wedding celebrations create so many wonderful moments worth remembering.

Couples can book our content creator alongside photography or inquire about standalone coverage.

Why Choose Local Wedding Photographers in Umbria?

We believe that choosing photographers who genuinely know the region can make a significant difference to your wedding experience.

As local wedding photographers based near Assisi, we understand not only the venues and the landscape, but also the logistics, the seasonal weather, and the local wedding industry.

We have worked with many of the region's wedding planners, florists, caterers, and other suppliers for years. These relationships help us work naturally as part of a team, anticipating potential challenges and finding solutions without adding stress to the celebration.

Being based in Umbria also means there are no additional travel or accommodation costs for our weddings within the region.

Whether you are planning a luxury destination wedding at Castello di Petrata, an intimate celebration in a countryside villa near Assisi, or a three-day wedding in a historic Umbrian hamlet, we bring the same combination of experience, local knowledge, and personal attention.

We have photographed more than a thousand weddings, traveled across continents, and had the privilege of documenting celebrations in some of the most extraordinary destinations in the world.

But there is something different about photographing weddings at home.

We have watched Umbria change over the years, seen international couples discover its beauty, and built lasting relationships with the people and places that make this region special.

We know its landscapes not just as photographers, but as people who belong here.

And that connection is something we bring to every wedding we photograph.

For us, Umbria is not just a destination. It is part of who we are, and every wedding here is another chapter in a story we have been telling for more than twenty years.

Kind words from our couples in UMBRIA

  • "If you are planning a destination wedding in Italy, look no further. Just send Maurizio and Serena a request right now and pray they are not already booked. Book them and then rest easy knowing that your entire day will be captured in the best way possible. We did a pre-wedding photoshoot, the welcome dinner, and the entire wedding day. Maurizio and Serena were clearly seasoned pros, knowing when to direct us into poses, gathering people for important group shots, and disappearing like ninjas to catch the beautiful candid moments. We ended up with photos that looked like high-fashion ads, romantic private memories, and bursts of absolute joy. Maurizio and Serena showcased the inner beauty and superstar of not just myself and my husband, but each one of our guests. They documented every part of the day in such a touching heartfelt way and it has been so fun to relive the day over and over again. I booked them just based on their portfolio alone which clearly speaks for itself. But the real magic happens when you meet them in person. They are a power team working seamlessly together. They take command in a way that makes you feel like you are in good hands (especially for camera-shy couples!) but also bring a sense of comfort and familiarity and I enjoyed the time I spent with them outside of photos - just talking about travel memories, their own wedding, and Italian wines. All of our guests were so impressed by them during the wedding and now seeing the photos, I'm getting endless comments about how they DELIVERED. Our photos feel very contemporary and modern but also romantic and timeless. THANK YOU Maurizio and Serena from the bottom of our hearts."

Kyle & Christina, Castello di Petrata

  • "Maurizio and Serena were absolutely incredible photographers for our wedding in Todi! Coming all the way from Australia, we wanted photographers we could completely trust, and they exceeded every expectation. We’re terrible in front of a camera, but they promised to guide us through everything, and the results are unbelievable — our photos genuinely look like they belong on the cover of Vogue! They made us feel comfortable, kept the whole experience fun, and are genuinely lovely people to have around on your wedding day. We also received our photos so quickly, and the online gallery was fantastic, especially the facial recognition feature that made finding photos of individual guests so easy. We couldn’t recommend Maurizio and Serena more highly, particularly if you need a little extra direction in front of the camera. Incredible people, incredible photos, and an experience we’ll treasure forever! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️"

Harrison & Jacqueline, Monastero Santa Margherita

  • "Maurizio and Serena photographed our wedding in Umbria and we couldn't be happier with them. They are warm, funny and completely easy to be around, which matters more than you think when two people follow you through the most emotional day of your life. They guided us whenever we weren't sure what to do with our hands or where to stand, but it never felt staged. The best part was that there was no endless couple shoot. They caught us in between everything, so we barely noticed we were being photographed and never had to leave our own party for long. And they got wonderful shots of our guests too, not just of us. We had the photos four days later. Four days. We were still unpacking. Thank you both so much. 10/10."

Nils & Kyra, Castello di Montignano

  • "Working with Maurizio and Serena was truly a dream, I could not imagine picking anyone else to capture our wedding day! The photos are SO amazing, words don’t even do it justice! They captured every little detail, made us look unreal, took out all of the stress we had with taking photos and knew exactly what to capture. The turnaround was so fast, we were so impressed. I would book them in a heartbeat! Best wedding photographers we have ever seen! It was a joy working with them, they made the process so easy and their work is truly remarkable!"

Eric & Delaney, Castello di Petrata

  • "Maurizio and Serena were absolutely incredible to work with. We used them for both our welcome party and wedding day and the way they captured every moment is so perfect. They both were so comforting throughout the wedding day as well, especially as someone who can feel shy around the camera. We have such an amazing mix of romantic and candid photos. I had multiple guests joke about wanting to fly them over to the US for their wedding after seeing their work live and the final products of our photos (which they sent over so quickly). I highly recommend hiring them for your wedding events!!"

Jordan & Colleen, Monastero Santa Margherita

  • "Where do I even start? The first time we saw our wedding photos, I literally gasped—they were that beautiful. Every single image looks like it belongs in a magazine. Not only is the quality incredible, but they are true professionals from start to finish. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and somehow managed to make us feel our absolute best. Nothing ever felt forced, and that really shows in the photos. On top of that, they are genuinely the nicest people you’ll ever meet, which made our wedding day even more enjoyable. If there’s one thing worth investing in for your wedding, it’s an amazing photographer. These photos are memories we’ll cherish forever, and choosing them was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made. We couldn’t recommend them more!"

Carel & Luca, Monastero Santa Margherita

  • "Maurizio and Serena are incredible photographers. They made it a point to get to know us months before our wedding to learn our style and what we were hoping for with our wedding photographer. The result? The photographs they created were breathtaking. A mix of documentary and editorial styles, they captured not only the moments but also the ethos of our wedding. We now how a visual capture of not only the events but the actual feeling we created for our guests. It is a rare skill. Having the Rellinis shoot our wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made. We recommend them without hesitation."

Authentic moments of joy and love at weddings we shot in Umbria

FAQ – Umbria Wedding Photographer

Destination wedding photography in Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto and across Umbria, Italy.

Experience, Local Knowledge & Wedding Venues

Why choose Rellini Art Studio as your Umbria wedding photographer?

We are Maurizio and Serena, a married photography duo born and raised in Umbria, where we have spent more than twenty years documenting weddings and love stories.

Since photographing our first wedding in 2001, we have captured more than 1,000 weddings across Italy and internationally, with the majority of our work taking place in Umbria. This experience has given us an extraordinary familiarity with the region's historic castles, countryside villas, medieval villages, and luxury wedding venues.

But our connection with Umbria goes far beyond photography. This is where we grew up, where we live, and where our photographic vision developed. We know the landscape, the light, the seasons, and the atmosphere of this beautiful region in a way that only locals can.

Our approach combines authentic documentary storytelling with refined editorial photography, creating elegant, natural, and timeless images without turning your wedding into a staged photoshoot.

Where are you based in Umbria, and do you photograph weddings near Assisi and Perugia?

We are based in Umbria, in the area between Assisi and Perugia, very close to Assisi, and we photograph weddings throughout the region.

We regularly work in Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto, Orvieto, Gubbio, Spello, Montefalco, and the Lake Trasimeno area, as well as in smaller villages and private countryside estates.

Being local means we know much more than the famous wedding venues. We understand the roads, the geography, the seasonal light, and the practical details that can make a destination wedding easier to organize.

For couples traveling from abroad, we are always happy to share our knowledge of Umbria and help them make the most of their Italian wedding experience.

Which wedding venues in Umbria do you photograph most frequently?

We have photographed weddings at many of the region's most beautiful venues, and some have become places we genuinely consider second homes.

Among the venues where we work most frequently are Castello di Petrata, Castello di Rosciano, Castello di Montignano, Borgo Colognola, and La Torre di Pila.

We also regularly photograph celebrations at Niki's Resort, Monastero Santa Margherita, Castello di Titignano, Borgo Bastia Creti, Villa Pianciani, Abbazia San Pietro in Valle, and Castello di Solfagnano.

Each venue has its own character. Some offer magnificent panoramic terraces and formal gardens, while others feel like intimate medieval villages surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills.

Knowing these places so well allows us to anticipate the light, understand the layout, and capture spontaneous moments without constantly interrupting the celebration.

Rellini art studio+2

How many weddings have you photographed at Castello di Petrata in Assisi?

We have photographed approximately 100 weddings at Castello di Petrata since 2013, making it one of the venues we know best in all of Italy.

During the summer wedding season, we sometimes feel that we practically live there!

We know its beautiful gardens, the panoramic views of Assisi, the best locations for portraits, and how the light changes throughout the day.

What we particularly love is the atmosphere of its outdoor celebrations: relaxed aperitivo in the gardens, magnificent sunsets over the Umbrian countryside, and unforgettable dinners beneath the fairy lights.

Our long relationship with Castello di Petrata also means we know the people behind the venue and how the different spaces work throughout the wedding day.

For couples planning a destination wedding at Castello di Petrata, this familiarity allows us to work naturally and confidently while giving them the freedom to enjoy every moment.

Rellini art studio+1

Do you have experience photographing weddings at Castello di Rosciano?

Absolutely. Castello di Rosciano is one of the places most closely connected to our story as destination wedding photographers in Umbria.

We photographed our first international destination wedding there in 2006, and since then we have returned for around 70 weddings.

We love its medieval architecture, beautiful terraces, and spectacular views across the countryside toward Assisi and Perugia.

The atmosphere becomes particularly magical during summer evenings, when the tables are illuminated, the sky turns dark blue, and the castle comes alive with music and celebration.

After so many years working here, we know practically every corner of the property, including how to use its architecture and changing natural light to create elegant, authentic photographs.

Rellini art studio

What makes Castello di Montignano and Borgo Colognola special for wedding photography?

Both venues offer beautiful interpretations of the Umbrian countryside, but their personalities are quite different.

Castello di Montignano is particularly inspiring for its historic architecture, relaxed atmosphere, and panoramic rooftop. We love taking couples up to the rooftop around sunset, when the surrounding hills become beautifully illuminated and the landscape creates a wonderful setting for natural portraits.

Borgo Colognola, near Perugia, is a place we have photographed weddings at since 2009. Its historic village atmosphere, stone architecture, and intimate spaces create the feeling of a private Italian celebration.

We love how both venues combine elegance with authenticity, allowing us to capture sophisticated photographs without losing the spontaneous energy of the wedding.

Rellini art studio+1

What other luxury wedding venues do you recommend in Umbria?

Beyond the venues where we work most frequently, Umbria offers an extraordinary selection of historic castles, exclusive villas, restored monasteries, and countryside estates.

Some of the places we particularly appreciate include Castello di Solfagnano, Castello di Reschio, Villa Pianciani, San Pietro in Valle, Castello di Titignano, Monastero Santa Margherita in Todi, Relais Monte Solare, and Borgo Castello Panicaglia.

We believe the best venue depends on the atmosphere you want to create.

For an elegant castle wedding, the Assisi and Perugia countryside offers beautiful options. For more intimate celebrations, restored hamlets and private villas can provide a wonderfully personal experience.

Our advice is always to choose a venue that reflects your personality, rather than simply following the latest wedding trends.

Is Umbria a good alternative to Tuscany for a luxury destination wedding?

We believe Umbria is one of Italy's most interesting destinations for couples looking for a more intimate and authentic wedding experience.

Tuscany is internationally famous for its vineyards, rolling hills, and Renaissance villas. Umbria shares much of that natural beauty, but has a different personality: quieter, less ostentatious, and deeply connected to its medieval heritage.

Here, you can celebrate in magnificent historic castles, enjoy extraordinary Italian food and wine, and experience beautiful landscapes without always being surrounded by the busiest tourist destinations.

For us, Umbria represents a quieter form of luxury: elegant, authentic, relaxed, and deeply Italian.

And because we grew up here, we particularly love helping international couples discover this side of Italy.

Film Photography, Content Creation & Our Photographic Style

Do you offer film wedding photography in Umbria?

Absolutely! We offer analog film wedding photography throughout Umbria, including Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto, and the region's most beautiful historic wedding venues.

Film photography has always been part of our story. We began photographing weddings on film, long before digital cameras became the standard, and we still love its distinctive aesthetic.

Today, we shoot with 35mm and medium-format 6x6 film cameras, creating photographs with beautiful grain, rich textures, and timeless tonal qualities.

We particularly love black-and-white film for its classic, artistic character, although color film is also available.

The historic castles, medieval architecture, olive groves, and soft countryside light of Umbria provide extraordinary settings for analog wedding photography.

Couples can add film photography to their digital wedding collection and choose between professionally developed and scanned negatives or traditional fine art prints produced in the darkroom.

Rellini art studio+1

Is film photography suitable for weddings at Castello di Petrata, Castello di Rosciano and other Umbrian venues?

Yes, and we believe these historic venues are particularly beautiful when photographed on film.

At Castello di Petrata, we love using analog cameras to capture the soft countryside light, the textures of the old buildings, and intimate moments between the couple and their guests.

At Castello di Rosciano, the medieval architecture and atmospheric interiors work wonderfully with black-and-white film.

The historic stone buildings of Borgo Colognola and the elegant architecture of Castello di Montignano also create beautiful opportunities for timeless analog portraits.

We usually combine film with our digital documentary coverage, allowing us to preserve the spontaneity of the celebration while creating a carefully selected collection of artistic analog images.

Do you offer a wedding content creator service in Umbria?

Yes! Alongside our wedding photography, we offer a dedicated wedding content creator service in Umbria, available for celebrations at Castello di Petrata, Castello di Rosciano, Castello di Montignano, Borgo Colognola, and other venues throughout the region.

Our content creator, Aigulya, works exclusively with our team and shares our philosophy of natural, authentic storytelling.

While we focus on creating timeless wedding photographs, she captures the behind-the-scenes atmosphere through mobile videos, spontaneous clips, and social-media-ready content.

The service includes four edited reels, two longer videos, and the original clips, with delivery within approximately 24 hours.

We love this combination because couples can enjoy their wedding almost immediately through video content while waiting for their professionally edited photographs.

Can we book your wedding content creator without booking photography?

Yes. Our wedding content creator service in Umbria can be booked independently, subject to availability.

However, couples who combine content creation with our wedding photography benefit from a more coordinated experience and preferential package pricing.

Our team is used to working together, so photographers and content creators can document the celebration without getting in each other's way.

This is particularly valuable during emotional moments such as the ceremony, speeches, and first dance, when we want the experience to remain as natural and uninterrupted as possible.

Do you offer wedding videography and drone photography in Umbria?

Yes. In addition to photography and content creation, we collaborate with a selected network of professional wedding videographers, offering different cinematic styles and price options.

We are also licensed drone pilots and offer aerial wedding photography at suitable venues, subject to local regulations, permissions, weather, and safety conditions.

We particularly love aerial photography at countryside estates such as Castello di Petrata, Castello di Montignano, and Castello di Titignano, where the architecture and surrounding landscapes can be beautifully appreciated from above.

Drone photography is included in many of our collections, whenever it can be performed legally and safely.

Rellini art studio+1

What is your wedding photography style?

Our style is a combination of documentary wedding photography and editorial elegance.

For most of the wedding day, we work discreetly, observing and capturing genuine emotions, spontaneous interactions, and everything that makes each celebration unique.

At the same time, we love beautiful compositions, sophisticated portraits, and the way natural light interacts with historic architecture.

We want our couples to look elegant without feeling posed, and our photographs to feel artistic without losing their authenticity.

After more than 1,000 weddings, we have learned that the most meaningful images often happen when nobody is thinking about the camera.

Do you pose couples during their wedding photographs?

Very little.

We believe a wedding should be enjoyed rather than turned into a long photography session.

Most of our images are completely spontaneous. During couple portraits, we may offer a little guidance when needed, but we prefer natural movement and genuine interactions rather than elaborate poses.

Usually, 15–20 minutes is enough for a beautiful couple session.

We love using the architecture and landscape of Umbrian wedding venues to create refined portraits while allowing couples to spend as much time as possible with their guests.

Planning Your Destination Wedding in Umbria

What is the best time of year to get married in Umbria?

Our favorite months for weddings in Umbria are May, June, September, and early October.

Spring offers green landscapes, flowering gardens, and generally pleasant temperatures. September is particularly beautiful for its warm colors, softer light, and relaxed countryside atmosphere.

July and August can also be wonderful, especially for evening celebrations, although temperatures can become very high.

Having grown up in Umbria and photographed weddings here for more than twenty years, we know how important it is to consider the season, the position of the sun, and the characteristics of each venue when planning a wedding.

What is the best time of day for wedding photography in Umbria?

We love the final hours of daylight, when the Umbrian countryside becomes beautifully warm and atmospheric.

However, we don't believe beautiful wedding photographs should depend entirely on golden-hour light.

We also love the strong contrasts of the midday sun, the soft illumination of shaded gardens, and the dramatic atmosphere of cloudy days.

At venues such as Castello di Petrata and Castello di Montignano, knowing exactly when and where the sun sets helps us suggest the ideal time for a short portrait session.

We always adapt our photography to the actual conditions rather than forcing the wedding into a rigid schedule.

Can you help us plan our wedding photography timeline in Umbria?

Absolutely. With more than two decades of experience, we are happy to help couples and wedding planners create a relaxed, realistic timeline.

We generally recommend approximately two hours for getting ready, around 90 minutes for the cocktail reception, and a short couple session when the light is most flattering.

For summer weddings, we often suggest planning outdoor ceremonies later in the afternoon and enjoying dinner after sunset, when temperatures are more comfortable.

Our goal is to create the best photographic opportunities without compromising the experience of the wedding.

Do you photograph intimate weddings and elopements in Umbria?

Yes! We love intimate weddings, micro weddings, and elopements throughout Umbria.

The region offers extraordinary possibilities for couples looking for a more personal celebration, from private villas overlooking Assisi to historic castles, secluded gardens, and beautifully restored medieval villages.

For smaller weddings, we particularly appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to focus on genuine emotions and personal connections.

Whether you are celebrating with 15 guests or exchanging vows privately, our approach remains the same: authentic documentary photography with a refined editorial touch.

Do you photograph multi-day destination weddings in Umbria?

Yes, and they are among our favorite celebrations to document.

Many international couples choose Umbria for two-, three-, or four-day wedding experiences, including welcome dinners, wine tastings, pool parties, the wedding itself, and farewell gatherings.

Venues such as Castello di Petrata, Borgo Colognola, Borgo Bastia Creti, and Borgo Castello Panicaglia can provide wonderful settings for extended celebrations, depending on their accommodation and event arrangements.

We love photographing these experiences because they allow us to get to know the guests and capture the more informal, spontaneous side of the celebration.

What if it rains on our wedding day in Umbria?

After photographing more than 1,000 weddings, we have experienced practically every possible weather condition!

Rain doesn't mean you can't have beautiful wedding photographs.

Historic Umbrian venues often offer atmospheric interiors, covered spaces, and architectural details that can become extraordinary photographic settings.

We particularly appreciate venues that offer well-designed indoor alternatives for ceremonies and receptions.

For example, Castello di Petrata has an elegant glasshouse, providing a beautiful alternative for celebrations when the weather is unpredictable.

Our experience allows us to adapt quickly, use available light creatively, and keep the atmosphere relaxed even when plans change.

Rellini art studio

Can you recommend local wedding planners and suppliers in Umbria?

Of course. Having worked in Umbria for more than twenty years, we have developed relationships with many talented wedding planners, florists, caterers, musicians, and other professionals.

We believe that choosing suppliers who know the venue and understand the local logistics can make a significant difference to the wedding experience.

We are always happy to share recommendations based on the type of celebration you are planning, the venue you have chosen, and the atmosphere you want to create.

Wedding Photography Packages & Delivery

How much does wedding photography in Umbria cost?

We offer different wedding photography collections, depending on the duration of coverage, the number of events, and the additional services you would like to include.

Our packages can be customized with analog film photography, drone photography, professional videography, and wedding content creation.

Because we are based in Umbria, local celebrations do not require the same travel arrangements as weddings in distant destinations.

We recommend contacting us for our latest price guide and availability, so we can suggest the most suitable collection for your wedding.

Will Maurizio and Serena personally photograph our wedding?

Yes. When you book Rellini Art Studio's photography service, Maurizio and Serena are your photographers.

We don't send less-experienced photographers to replace us or outsource our signature photographic approach.

We have worked together for many years, and this allows us to document weddings from two complementary perspectives while maintaining a consistent style.

We believe having two experienced photographers is particularly important for capturing the different emotions, perspectives, and spontaneous moments happening simultaneously throughout the day.

Rellini art studio+1

How many wedding photographs will we receive?

The number of photographs depends on the duration and nature of the celebration.

For a typical full-day wedding with around ten hours of coverage, we often deliver approximately 1,000 carefully selected and edited photographs.

Every selected image is delivered in both color and black and white, giving couples two complementary interpretations of their wedding.

We focus on delivering a complete visual story rather than limiting the gallery to a small number of images.

How quickly will we receive our wedding photographs?

We believe couples should be able to relive their wedding while the emotions are still fresh.

Our typical turnaround time is 7–20 days, depending on the photography collection and the duration of the celebration.

When included in the package, we also provide a preview within approximately 3–4 days.

All selected photographs are professionally edited with natural colors, carefully balanced skin tones, and a timeless aesthetic that respects the authentic atmosphere of the wedding.

Rellini art studio

How far in advance should we book our Umbria wedding photographer?

We recommend contacting us as soon as you have confirmed your wedding date and venue, especially for popular summer weekends.

Because Maurizio and Serena personally photograph our weddings, our availability is naturally limited.

However, we sometimes have availability for shorter-notice celebrations, particularly during weekdays or outside the busiest wedding months.

The best way to check is simply to send us your date, venue, and a few details about your plans.

Why is your experience photographing more than 1,000 weddings important?

Experience makes an enormous difference, especially during a wedding where moments happen once and cannot be repeated.

We have photographed more than 1,000 weddings, most of them in Umbria, and have worked in virtually every kind of lighting, weather, and logistical situation.

We know how to anticipate emotional moments, adapt to unexpected changes, work discreetly during ceremonies, and create elegant photographs even in challenging conditions.

But perhaps the most important thing we have learned is how to make people feel comfortable.

We want our couples to enjoy their wedding without worrying about photography, trusting that every meaningful moment is being documented naturally.

Named WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS OF THE YEAR at the EWPC 2024 in Bodrum, named among the 24 best photographers in Italy by Junebug, winners of the Moscow International Photo Award, chosen best wedding photographers in Tuscany and Umbria by Brides Magazine, we specialize in authentic destination weddings in Tuscany, Umbria, Lake Como, Amalfi Coast.
